While not quite the horsepower that was on display up the road at the Supercars event the action was just as exciting at Newcastle Paceway with two feature events.
Firstly a point score was held to determine the winner of Dimarco Harness Racing supported event. Newly appointed HRNSW board member Marissa Dimarco represented the stable. A deadlock in points resulted however Harry McNamarra driving Cariadus Material Girl was declared the winner on count back from Rowan Wiggins who recorded his first registered win on Rushin Gold. Improving Olivia Vujkovic finished close behind in third place with Starstrider.
Retiring HRNSW Chairman Chris Edwards was the clubs special guest on the night and as a token of thanks to Chris for his support of mini trots over his period on the board the club held the Chris Edward Appreciation which was also conducted on a point score basis. Eventual winner was back marker Miss n Me who was responsible for two outstanding performances driven by Sarah Marsh. Mr consistent veteran Your Kiddin Me driven by Zach Wiggins finished second while Harry McNamarra continued his good form on the night to take third with Cariadus Material Girl.
