Formosa Double Highlight

Fantastic night of keen mini trot action was highlighted by a double to Chloe Formosa at Newcastle Paceway last night. Chloe has taken up the driving duties of former NSW Champion and Current Inter Dominion Champion Midnight Express. Midnight Express has returned to NSW after a stint in West Australia and last nights double shows he will be a real threat in upcoming events. First of the wins saw Chloe circling the field to come home strongly to defeat the improving Chase em Ace for Team Cassar and Eye on the Prize showing a return to form for Yasmin Lightfoot making good ground late.

In the following event similar tactics were adopted by Chloe Formosa unleashing with a powerful run at the top of the straight to overtake Your Kiddin Me for Rowan Wiggins and Yasmin Lightfoot again filling a place with Eye on the Prize. Harpers Turbonator (Josh Cassar) and Smokey Bear (Ashton Wiggins) finished just behind the place getters. Wiggins Racing Team got the night off on a winning note with Harrison driving Little Squirt to take out the first event defeating stable mate Your Kiddin Me driven by Rowan and Chase em Ace who made a lightning move mid race holding on for third for Amity Cassar.

It was good to Miles Family drivers Tyler and Emilee on their ponies Yogi Bear and Roxy Surf Girl and as they gain race fitness will not far from winners circle. Yogi Bear is also a former NSW Champion and good clashes between him and Midnight Express should be a highlight in coming weeks. Pleasing night for Team Cassar with Chase em Ace continuing to show his potential, Harpers Turbonator performing consistent and while he did not figure in placing's the consistent Major Jiba (Isabella) again kept them all honest finishing just behind the placegetters.

Newcomer to the ranks Mia McMillian is showing great ability and improving every outing and is really enjoying being part of the action driving Its All Black Magic. Coming off successfully wining at Fishers Ghost Meeting recently Silver Dreams despite given every chance by Hira Lightfoot with bold front running displays fail to hold the ponies coming from behind on the night but watch for him to pinch one soon.
