Dubbo Mini Trots - Marsh Family

Some of the highlights of their 4 year Mini Trotting career being when Tracey and Miss Magoo went on to win back to back Australian Mini Trotting Championship at Tamworth in 1987 and Penrith in 1988. In 1989, with the Inter dominion being held in Perth W.A., Tracey, her two mini trotters, and cousin Cheryl Freeman and her pony Miss Joanie Toliver, Aunty Anne and her uncle David packed up and made the four day long journey. Tracey & Miss Magoo placed 3rd in the Pony division then Tracey & Silver Toy were also placed 3rd in the Shetland division. Cheryl Freeman finished 5th on Miss Joanie Tolliver in the pony division.

Enjoying the sport so much, Tracey and her mini trotters travelled throughout NSW and in Queensland competing before reaching the age limit of 16. Tracey & Anne have continued their association with NSW Mini Trotting and the Dubbo club for many years and inevitably Tracey's own children became the next generation of Mini Trotters. Tracey’s eldest son Connor, drove several mini trotters competing throughout NSW winning his share of races with the highlight finishing 3rd in the Shetland final of the 2007 NSW Championships held at Maitland driving the seasoned mini trotter champion Falcon Crest. The combination also Placed 3rd in the finals of the NSW Championships held at Leeton in 2009, Connor also drove Aussie Down Under to run 3rd in the midget final of the 2012 NSW Championships held at Nowra. Not to be outdone by his big brother, Tracey's youngest of two sons Brayden also became a very competitive Mini Trotting driver. And during his 4 year driving career the most memorable drives were driving his Shetland Jet in the 2013 inter dominion held at Menangle, and then driving Jet to finish 3rd in the Shetland final of the 2010 NSW Championships held at Gundagai then taking out the Shetland consolation aboard Tough n Up in 2014 NSW Championships held at Gundagai and making the midget final driving Firestorm before reaching retirement age.

With Mini Trotting in the blood and chomping on the bit to drive, Tracey's youngest of three children being her daughter Sarah began her driving career in Bathurst at the age of 6 driving old-timer midget Aussie Down Under. Sarah and Aussie soon showed championship promise placing 2nd in the 2013 inter dominion at Menangle at the tender age of 7. The duo then won back to back Miracle Miles ran 2nd in the midget final of the 2013 NSW Championships at Gunning, 2nd in the Midgets at the 2014 Championships at Gundagai, she ran 3rd in the midget final driving Firestorm at Gunning 2015.

Then, at this years championships held at Gunning, Sarah ran 3rd in the midget final driving Aussie Down Under. And also winning the 2016 NSW Championship pony final driving her relative new comer Miss n Me - all this before her 11th birthday, and another 6 years of Mini Trotting to go.
